As much as technology and the conveniences of the modern world have made our lives “easier,” something has been lost.

We sit more and use our bodies less. We give our time and attention to screens, memes, and pictures of other peoples’ lives. We are more and more in our eyeballs and minds, while our physical, social, emotional, and spiritual lives languish. We are plagued by anxiety, anger, and dissatisfaction.

This is not how life is supposed to feel.

We were not born to exist online.

We are physical, social animals. We carry a long evolutionary inheritance that can’t be technologized away. We adopt convenience and phone addiction at the cost of poor physical and mental health, disconnection from our selves and others, and an overall sense of dread and meaninglessness.

My mission as a body and movement-focused therapist is to support (re)connection to our physical existence and experiences. I believe change happens when we stop overthinking and start feeling, doing, and experiencing new things. Let’s figure out how to put this into practice to fulfill your individual needs and desires.

If you have gotten enough insight and are ready to feel and experience yourself and life differently, I would love to hear from you. Please reach out to let me know what brings you here—no diagnoses, jargon, or intake forms necessary.

A word about fees and insurance

I no longer work with insurance companies. This was a difficult decision for me because I value accessibility but have found myself burned out and unable to sustain my work under this system. I am clinically trained and licensed in Washington, Oregon, and New York; I pay my dues and keep up with continuing education requirements.

I am able to provide superbills that clients can submit for insurance reimbursement. Session fees may be covered by HSAs and FSAs.

If you are interested in working together but unable to pay full session fees, please inquire about sliding scale availability.

Reconnect with the ground of being: your body, your world, the reality of the moment.

Groups are themed and provide a safe, supportive space to share thoughts and feelings with others while also learning new ways of doing and being. Group work can sometimes seem intimidating, but it is a beautiful way to connect and share with others: we benefit from and contribute to the combined genius and support of the group.
